My old 1800's handhewn barn in back ground. Lost it in 2006 to 100mph winds.

Think this is the one I tracked wounded into a hollow log. Fun fun using a 22 9 shot to finish him as he was trying to come out of the log.
Then I had to go back 600-700yds and get my chainsaw to cut his butt out of the log.

My question is that they are coming closer this year to my house than ever before. Is that an indication of a long deep snow winter. No livestock on my place just cats.

I've only even seen 3 coyotes, let alone shot any. Never seen a feral hog.

So now I need to hog hunt and coyote hunt. This year is my first yr bow hunting and I'm pretty addicted already. My marriage can't afford more obsessions. Lol

Just came home and there was one at the end of my driveway and one 500 yards before my driveway.

Better start busting them.
Mine havent been inside of 500yds in the day light that I have seen for a long time. Furthest I took was around 400- 450yds.
Have been seeing that one on cam though after dark at about 90yds.

If you are seeing them that close during daylight they are getting braver. I had 2 test me like that. 1 got to 100 yds from me walking toward me. I busted him. other with him stayed back at least 300yds following in too.
I got him about a week later in same area. ;)

Do you have dogs?
When my dogs are in heat, we have a lot more yotes around the house.

We have certainly blistered our share of coyotes here in Ga...fairly rampant around here....about like foxes, they'll put a helluva hurting on the turkey, rabbit, quail numbers if they get outta control.

My neighbor has some 12 gauge reloading equipment from like 35 years ago. If anyone is interested I can get pics and stuff. I don't know what I'm looking at though so I'll need direction.

Probably MEC stuff. The 600/650/750 series reloaders were pretty popular and affordable back in those days. I've got two 650's, one for 12's and one for 20's.

Would certainly be interested in seeing the pics.
