@Hinerman. Isn’t there a WW2 Battleship or sub down there around the Port of Muskogee? I seem to recall seeing one down in that neck of the woods when I used to go thru there with the truck. I thought it was right along the river. Has the river re-floated it? Hopefully it’s far enough away or on high enough ground to be safe from the flooding.

Yes, the USS Batfish; the cables holding it down broke, it floated and stopped in some trees. It did not sink or go down river.

What happened with the dam over by Sabetha? Fail or not?

I haven’t heard anymore on it so I am guessing it hasn’t blown out. The NWS still has a flash flood watch out for that county & after doing some reading I found conflicting reports about whether dam failure was imminent or not & whether water would even effect Hwy 36.

* A portion of northeast Kansas, including the following area,
Nemaha.

* Through Monday morning

* Emergency management officials reported the dam located
approximately 2 miles south of downtown Sabetha may fail over
the next few days. A failure of the dam may lead to flash
flooding south of Sabetha down the flood plain of the Delaware
River.

* Roadways that could be impacted by the flash flooding include
168th Road, 250th Street, and 220th Street.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

It hasn't failed yet, still slowly draining. Granted if another good rain comes it might change the outlook of it.

271s top cover is one peice. And yeah its a funky design for sure on the cases. And according to the ipl you have to have a different pto case half if yuy want to get away from the toolless tensioner setup.

That dude is an idiot.

I’ve crossed many, many low water crossings in south Missouri. They are designed for water rushing over them. And, every one on a county road had a depth pole marked off in feet & inches. Little Piney River as it snakes around Phelps county is one.
