I do 50/50 Hickory and Cherry pellets in the Traeger. Makes for a really fine ribeye.

You like the Traeger? I am flip flopping between a pellet cooker and a Green Egg style cooker.

I know the pellet cookers are simple to use (a definite plus for me). Everybody that has them loves them. The same can be said for the Green Egg also.

I used to be able to find them in the 20 K range but not anymore.

Oh hell thats the van my wife got. For what I do to a truck I aint willing to spend more than $1000 lol thats why my newest truck is a 91

For the price nowadays of a nice used truck that will probably cost me $400 a month, at least, for 4-5 years, I can put that much per month into one I've already got for 6-8 months and have it run another sixty thousand pretty much trouble free.
The key factor here is IF your current one is paid off.

Yeah. I really like it. If there was a drawback to it, I'd say that it's that you have to plug it in. I thought about an egg, but the increase in cooking space on the Traeger is what finally sold me. Even the largest egg just looks tiny to me in terms of cooking area.

Hints on shipping a 20" bar to upstate New York?
A box big enuff for powerhead plus bar is 20 x 12 x 12 with the bar diagonal. Too much room for the powerhead to shift end to end.

Just wrap the darn thing in cardboard and send separate?

Tape the poo out of it.
