Btw.... on my echo build
The cs550 echo
Doesn't have the extra fixed jet
In the carb Like a 590, it can be tuned
To exploder tune, it was lean
From the factory, with the limiters.
Needed 3/4 to 1 full turn to get to a proper light 4 stroking in the cut after my muffler mod

Well, it's de-hacked with 25 feet less pipe and 12 fewer 90° elbows and does the same job.

After a lot of frustration, son got the Bronco to start. First try was a crank but no start. No spark. Found a poor connection and fixed it. Fired up, but on one bank only. Injectors on one bank not working. Again poor connection. Fixed that and finally fired up on all cylinders but will die unless he feathers the gas pedal. And smells very rich. We are suspecting the injectors are too big but he'd like to get the oxygen sensor gauge working to confirm that.
But it does run, that's plus. He was under a lot of tension after doing all this exhaust and intake plumbing and the time spent. I told him it's time to sit down and process all the information. Take a break.

Note:
One can go overboard with cherry..

For smoking, get rid of bark, and use sparingly.
For grilling, throw in whatever, but let burn a bit before applying food.

For sure. Cherry can over power. Hickory too. I like oak and cherry mixed to grill over. Let them go down to coals.

The piece I split, split like butter with a fiskars....easy peasy.
Looks like cherry to me. Green, it splits ok. Find one standing dead in a field and they'll twist in the sun and wind and are hard to split in half. Gotta slab the outside off and work to the center
