I usually save what little cherry I come across for open air fires. I can't bring myself to throw it in the boiler and waste that smell. I'm down to about 8 pieces right now. Need to scout another dead one.Found more wild cherry wood.

I free handed to five pieces about 2x14x5 foot.
I think it's likely too ruff to run thru a planer but wtf do I know.
May just end up making smoker chunks.

Yup I got the Harbor Freight one for around $40 and works good for everything I've needed
