Mine didn't come with a bar but I had an old Mono bar that fits, however it's not the one for it. This one's about 28 long. I suspect about 16-20 is correct and probably a "beaver tail" style. I've got several of those. I suspect one will work, after all it's an AH47 engine. Pretty common stuff for back then.
This is the bar that usually came on them.

Speaking of bars... I am in the market for ~32-36" large mount husky bar. Something that my 390 can pull. It needs to be 3/8" .050 gauge.
Please holler at me if you have one you are looking to part with...

Plumb nice day. Tinkered on the Husky 41.

Anyone have the inside bar plate for one?

Oil runs down the case and not on the chain.

Most of the OEM Husky bars at 36" are 058 You can get a OEM 32" in 050.

Honestly at 36", you might be better off with an .063 bar for better oiling and maybe a bit less chain stretch. I will eventually sell my 36" Stihl bar to help towards a new bar for the 9010 (which will also fit a 390 or 395 when the time comes). For my use a 28" bar on a 390xp would be about perfect saving the 36" or bigger for the 9010 or a 395, or bigger.

Do any of you fellers have experience with the 06 to early 07 Dodges with the last run of the CR 5.9 Cummins? I'm looking at a built one which may replace m,y 7.3 truck... I know the mechanicals pretty well, but am looking more for first-hand pros/cons. I won't buy a 6.4 Powerstroke and right now I think the jury's still out on the longevity (beyond 150K mileage) of the 6.7 Fords and Dodges... Most of the Duramaxes (owners) are just too darn high for me to consider them... Looking at an '07 with 235 on the body, but 40K on a built 5.9 and matching tranny + T-case, A.M cam, slightly bigger injectors, studs, etc... Looks and runs good for $16K. It's a bit higher price than I want to pay but right now, between emissions issues, market demand, inflation and the fallout from cash-for-clunkers, it's largely a seller's market...

Right now a new(er) 5500 Ram is a bit out of the budget as I'm shooting in the 15-20k range, preferably on the lower side.
Feel free to PM me if you want.

I've got both size bars for my 390.
28 inch is 3/8 050.
36 is a Stihl 404 063.
Pulls both very well. Can't tell it's got a 36 on it.

Front end is normal dodge junk. 06-07 is the best for tuners. I've had 3 07.
