Always wondered if the packs were rebuildable or if the whole thing had to be replaced. What size are the individual cells? Can they be replaced individually?
The cells are welded together in groups of three rated at 3.7 volts each. The groups are combined into three sections. The cooling system is very intricate between the cell groups so replacing individual cells would be tough to do. This one had cell group 51 0.2 of a volt lower than the rest. The total voltage of the pack that we replaced was 87.9 volts.

Damn good to hear from you Steve, I missed you!
Thanks Mike. The saw activities are just about non existant at this time. Involved in a peein' match between the builder and the county inspector for my shop.
Did try to buy a saw the other day then I found out that I already had one when I happened to check my inventory list for something else. Guess that means that I may have too many saws.

They emailed me and said the new handle is on the way. Maybe it won't be long
Hey Ethan if you don't already have a service repair manual you can go over to this thread and request a copy that should help you on putting that beast together...I used it for the fist one I ever did and it comes in handy for sure... http://opeforum.com/index.php?threads/4596/

Consumer grade ope is just junk. Flat out junk.
Yes..
And it's OK to tell someone no..
I try to limit my activities to predictable stuff like chains and muffler mods.

What I really hate is when s neighbor buys 2 clapped out saws at an auction somewhere just to bring them to me..
As if I actually "like" to work on the crap.

Negative...
"Put them boat anchors back in yer truck"

Or I need to raise my shop rate.
I charge a $15 bench fee just to even look or diagnose. If I crack into it its $45/ hr period! Usually they say no thanks!!same with concrete/ demo saws......and u do end up with a lot of those beasts!

Evening fellas, kinda stressed but wanted to say hey. Its time so start saying no to working on other peoples junk.
I stopped working on other people's stuff a long time ago. Too many idiots out there and too much liability.
I will help out a friend occasionally. And I limit that to 2 friends. And I don't take money either. They pay me in chocolate chip cookies.
I sold a saw once on CL. It went well and have not heard from him since. But I won't do it again.
I traded a saw with a guy I work with for a 9mm Deringer. After a few months he said a neighbor tried to buy the saw from him. I asked if he would like to trade back and we did. I figured out a deringer is basically useless and would rather have the saw back.
