We had a pretty productive Thursday, Friday and Saturday round here.

This was the load John and I split up Friday morning. Went and got another load of mulberry logs after that.
Then Levi and his buddy cut a whole load of hedge boiler wood. They heaped the big truck up. Not sure how much it'll end up being.

Anybody know where I can get a 3/4 inch barbed hose splice? Preferably 3 inches long. Need a metal one. Steel preferably but brass or aluminum would probably work. I need to repair the return hose on the splitter. It's not regular high pressure hydraulic hose. Looks like heater hose but is oil resistant made by Gates. If I can splice it, that would be great,. Because this stuff is pricey. :)

You should be able to go to most any farm supply or even a Lowes and get a fitting that is made for the black poly pipe. They should have either the gray plastic ones, or the galvanized steel ones.

Found this on google: https://www.plumbersstock.com/galcupi34-34in-galv-insert-coup-barb-x-barb.html#

Been to Tractor Supply, Orcheln, local hardware store, nothing. Haven't tried Lowe's yet but online they don't show anything. Although there is no appreciable pressure, plastic heats up and gets soft. Been there done that.

Oh wait you wanted metal. This rubber hose is rated for 300 and 350 psi. Very cheap! I can't return it. All scraps.
That could work, if I replace the whole hose. Don't need much, 3 feet. I'd think 350-400 psi is plenty. Seeing how it's the return line.

If you don't find what you need, star wholesale across from Yarborough machine sells the brass stuff.

The Christmas lights are hung which had the kids in full-on crackhead sugar rush mode... I miss that unbridled excitement... Now I'm tuning up one of the guitars and going to brush up on some classic Christmas songs, to show the kids what practice and dedication to a passion can give you.
