Morning everybody.
Warmer today, supposed to cool down and be some nice hog killing weather over the next few days.

Made a bit of sawdust yesterday.

Morning all 45° and it's all downhill from here. Wind already changing enough I can hear it. got a little dent in the pile yesterday and worked on one bank of glow plugs on the rusty farm truck. Not wanting to go in the cold and throwing codes. Still has a code on the side I worked on, maybe relay or wiring. Going to be a bit chilly next few days.

Did you clear the codes after installing the new parts?

Seems a person can make bacon out of a lot of parts of a hog if it’s big enough.
I cut the two flanks out of the last hog and saved em..
leaner than pork belly, but cured well and smoked well. Sliced well.

Looks pretty good from here. 👌

My daughter makes "ham" outta just about any part of the pig.....
We're planning to kill 5 hogs this Friday, supposed to be pretty decent weather for the deed.

Supposed to be windy here thru the weekend, temps are supposed to be dropping over the weekend as well.

Planning on trying to take out the 400 Legend for its first deer killing session this weekend.

Morning folks, from the place with trees and a wood stove. It was 35 last evening and this morning woke up to +9. It's dropped a couple with winds from the north and at +4 currently. This could be the warm morning for the next week says the guessers.

Yep, fixed number 2 but still showing error on cylinders 7 and 8. 7 I expected since I haven't done that side. I have a different glow plug relay I can try as well. Truck needs another engine harness but I have hesitated spending the $1000 for it so far and have just fixed things as they came up. Didn't have the right glow plug harness for it so I robbed a terminal from an old harness and made an extension. Too many variations between 2003 and 2007, got to go by build date to get the right ones.

When curing, try some Morton’s “Tender quick”And brown sugar..
bout 2/3. 1/3 in mixture..
Not sure what’s in it, but cures and leaves it pink.

Morning all, 20° and still trending downward before it's supposed to go up to 45° for the high. Short work day today and then haul a calf to processor tonight. Lake is calling me tomorrow, anniversary date at work of some sort where I no longer observe UPS on that day. Couple that with a holiday Monday leads to a 4 day weekend. Supposed to pick up a rifle on Saturday morning unless the guy waffles out.
