Morning all, 36° going to 45° today. Looks like the bottom drops out tomorrow and stays below freezing for the next 36 hours. Rinse, repeat for Sunday as well. Coffee and stove for a little more time and then pack some food and hook up the boat.

Morning everybody.
Heading down to the Stamp this morning.
Time to start working on the inside of the new building. We’re going over to Kyle’s tomorrow to pick up styrofoam insulation sheets. That’s the only thing left to get in order to start doing the inside. I’ll be spending the next few months getting it ready for this coming Fall when we will, hopefully, be moving down there to live full time. Then, the next project, is to build a house.

A New Hammer used to be an incentive
In the "SHOW ME HOW" STATE
Ya need to SHOW 'EM HOW.
I got to thinking about this post...
I had put myself in a kids shoes and began conniving how to get out of some of the work.
Nice being in a kids shoes again after so many years.
Even with the memories of overly warm britches.
Hammers in those days were mostly wood handles.

Kinda slow today, had to work for these a bit. Found the fish, they just were not actively feeding for some reason. Still nice to watch the sun come up even though the wind kicked up and we had sleet, snow and rain for a while.

Was given a Craftsman rubber and fiberglass hammer when working on grandfathers house about 40+ years ago. Still in my toolbox.

I got my first hammer somewhere around 6-7 or 8 yrs old. I was in a pox madr out of green cottonwood full inch and nailed with ring shank nails . Was at my grandmas place and very few tools. Got frustrated when I couldn't find a prybar or hammer and then there one was when I got it opened it up and then didn't need a hammer any more. It was a Wyeth branded wood handle curved claw.

What prompted her to bake it on the oven rack, did she expect the results she got?
It's the smoker rack.
No, I don't think she thought it would ooze through like that.

I said she's a good cook.... never said she's got a clue about physics....😉

Rack needs some more patina, need to smoke some more. I got a new smoker for Christmas and haven't used it yet, old one gave up the ghost for the most part but had a nice layer of smokey goodness on the racks. Need to get that started, maybe a roast since I have several I need to use.
