Couple of things to bring home from grandparents are a joiner and a drill press. Right now doing repair work on the wood cabinets I brought home Tuesday. Probably not going to be prettiest but I'm trying to do this with stuff I already have at the house. Functional is the key.

Morning all. Guessers are saying high of 70° today and 75° tomorrow. Going to solo run to Stockton in the morning on a whenever I get up I'm rolling within 30 minutes type of day. The way I sleep that could be anywhere from 3:30 to 4:30. Anybody want a boat ride tomorrow let me know. Could roll into Matt's yard about 4:30 and wake up George to ride along I guess.

George’s younger cohort got zinged by a skunk last night…

Dense and slow on the uptake he is…
Guess he’ll learn, or die trying..

For a followup on the SLOW-DOT stuck tractor, this curb is what the driver had the front tires against in the ditch. Can't imagine why it got stuck. They had to drag it backwards almost to the other driveway and then pull it out on the highway.

I love an empty parking lot, wished it stayed that way longer. Don't know why people aren't there at 5 AM. Only lasted about an hour or so. Gave it up about 11 or so, one short of my limit. Had some nut decide to kayak across the lake from one of the campgrounds and paddle about 50 away from the boat while I was trying to finish up for some reason. My guess is stupidity, usually tends to be with those types.

Tell us more about his new student...
Jack is a chocolate lab.
And a bit of a dunce. Not all labs are created equal, so everything that should come natural to a dog like George and Levi’s lab Duke, seems to just be not natural to Jack and his ADHD.

He’ll eventually get it… If not, I’ll punt him to someone who has lower expectations..

Morning all. Started the day at 51° and 10 up already with heavy dew. Fish fry at my parents for lunch and some more cleaning up to do. New calf catching days are here as well. Don't know what is up with the neighbors youngest but he has always had problems yelling and screaming. Had to spend the yesterday afternoon trying to work listening to that as his sisters made it worse. Already started this morning. Same neighbor who said his dog never left his yard even after it attacked my first beagle. I don't like the idea of killing dogs but after the attack I have been waiting to get my chance when it is in my field. Now the younger dog is starting to wander in the cows. Watched them a couple weeks ago start chasing the cows in his field so it is only a matter of time before they start on mine. Can't walk out to pick fruit without them running to the highway and getting ready to come at us. Neighbors know about their behavior and have done nothing so time to start carrying pistol and deal with it my way.
