Drifting is lazy and lucky fishing. Friend who went with me had a catfish pick up the bait and then a gar swam into the line and got its mouth tangled. Got them both in and put the gar back unharmed. Made for a fun time.
I love drift fishing; I am lazy like that. No telling how many hours a friend and I spent drifting the Grand and Arkansas Rivers here, back in the day...

No reason to not keep doing it. That was Grand yesterday, looks to be about 1hr 40 min drive for you to Grove.

Went for a drive this morning with the fat beagle. Talked to processor on how I wanted beef cut and then we went for a walk in one of the local conservation areas. Discs and cultipackers tear up arrowheads something terrible. Didn't even take a rod, just needed a bit of a walk with the dog. Capps creek is stocked at various time with brown and rainbow trout. Need to go wading in the near future.

That beagle may need a bit more exercise & a bit less feed trough time.

Dad used to find a few arrowheads in the spring after tillage season.

When I am home she gets a lot of outside time with me, when I am at work no one will spend the time out with her. That would make the biggest difference, getting the exercise, not to mention it would be good for the wife and kids as well. Grandmother used to have a bunch of arrowheads and I have no idea what happened to them. Probably liberated by people who came to visit in years past. Plowing behind a horse with a single bottom would turn them up and not break them.

Good morning! One of my inspection visits last week took me to John Taliaferro's shop. John had the first GTG that I went to. It was South of Lebanon. That is where Kenneth and I first met. John said that he rarely does chainsaw milling anymore and mainly plays with his giant wood lathe or in his machine shop. He is still a big name in Saab automotive performance and fabricates a line of performance parts. He also fabricates parts for several companies Here's a maple log that he turned on his lathe. It stands about 6 and 1/2 ft. tall and is about 22 in in diameter.PXL_20250812_195904859.jpg

I assume you're being a smarty pants......can that be done after uploading em?
To verify, upload a panoramic picture and see. 🤔

Also:
The PP bar was a random one Curt had hanging in his shop that happened to be the correct tail pattern.

That picture and this one for some reason flips every time I post them. When I download it to my computer and view it, it is fine. From time to time my phone will flip them but I have no idea why this is going on. If I remember correctly, this has happened in the past and when a new page starts it fixes itself. I had them ready to post and decided I didn't want to take the time to edit them by rotating before re-downloading and posting.

I’m haveing the same problem. 😑

Previously mentioned John Deere CS 81 (Eefco). Bar is 30-32 ish .404 x .058 gauge (🫩).

404 x 058 is some obsolete I think.
That saw head should be able to run a large mount husky bar shouldn’t it?
