I'm still here. it has def been spicy over here lately. seems like tornados every other week and now record flooding. we are a long way from having issues with water. pond is def full. others not so well. deployed to another tornado at delta last week. lots of damage. one fire chief got killed when he stepped out of his truck on the way to delta to assist a stranded motorist and stepped on a live high volage line he didn't see. been busy helping my friend finish his house and getting things ready on the farm in between rainstorms. little man is growing like a weed. almost 6 months and eating puree food now. this kid loves to eat. hope all is well with everyone else. I'll try to post up some pics of my latest project when i get to sit down one evening.
Good to hear you are above water and in good shape. 👍

I smoked a couple racks of ribs & some experimental sausage yesterday. Working under the lean to on the shop keeps me dry but if the wind is the wrong way it smokes up the whole shop. Glad everybody survived the rains/floods. Think we were about 5.5" on the week. Few roads closed Fri-Sat but that's usual for the area.

Big money on the ground from what I hear. Are prices as good as they say?
Seeing 800lb+ going over $2.50/lb at times. Sold some a bit over a week ago straight from the field for what I considered decent prices. 6 month old weighing 400-500 are between $3-$4/lb now. Local guy is buying so as to not have to worry about sickness being brought in from sale barns. Shot me a decent price per head on them and picked them up so I didn't even have to haul them anywhere.

Fixed meatloaf, mashed potatoes and biscuits for lunch at my parents today. Started snowing about 11, just some snow pellets. And then went fishing again. I should have gone home and got some work done, but when the fish are there you have to go.

Good morning, gentlemen.
We arrived back in the states a little over a week ago, and are working on getting settled in at home.
It has been pretty chilly compared to down south.
It has been nice to see some rain. For six months, we only saw some sprinkles that were not even enough to get anything wet.
The dust down there is terrible.

Have a great day!
