Naw ,this is the 3rd time since October 2011 water got this high. Like I said about the creek pic "it's got 5-6 feet higher" while away it over filled the gulley out front n washed stuff around
There's only about 4 square miles of runoff up stream after all

Getting a few rib eye to sear over briquettes tomorrow afternoon rain or not.
Does this type o weather indicate 100°+ "dry" heat late June thru August? Hope not. Some ofbthis rain will be welcome in 3-4 months

I have waders and a rain suit. Talking to a friend this morning about it and he said he can stand wet and muddy, cold and muddy but not cold, wet and muddy. I tend to agree. Need to see if I have an old pot or skillet for some lead pouring possibilities. Bought some jig hooks that are red colored an have some holes in the head of the jig. Never had that problem before, wondering if the red coloring process is making it do that. Have a Lee's production pot so maybe I will kick the heat up some and try again.

Ended up just shy of 5" of rain for the last 4 days. Guess we will see if it will snow tomorrow morning. Seen it before in April, unfortunately a lot of my fruit trees are blooming.

Cold and windy at 39° this AM. No snow yet although the radar is showing blue around Joplin. Cow checking time now that it's light enough to find the calves.

The bootheel seems to have gotten hit pretty good with this round of weather.

I'm still here. it has def been spicy over here lately. seems like tornados every other week and now record flooding. we are a long way from having issues with water. pond is def full. others not so well. deployed to another tornado at delta last week. lots of damage. one fire chief got killed when he stepped out of his truck on the way to delta to assist a stranded motorist and stepped on a live high volage line he didn't see. been busy helping my friend finish his house and getting things ready on the farm in between rainstorms. little man is growing like a weed. almost 6 months and eating puree food now. this kid loves to eat. hope all is well with everyone else. I'll try to post up some pics of my latest project when i get to sit down one evening.
