Spent a large part of Saturday in a lift trimming a couple dead limbs on one of my trees and taking down a tree for my neighbor. My neighbor and I were going to split the cost of the lift ($300). At the end of the day my neighbor gave me a check for $600!!!

That will probably cover the repair costs of @Hedgerow equipment you have busted up. :risas3:

I’m sure Matt will be thrilled with your windfall.

It’s funny Thomas has the rep of being the equipment destroyer..

Especially since he’s one of the most conciseness maintenance guys I know..

The irony is awesome…

Love it…

My nephew Luke, on the other hand, could tear up an anvil in a sand box with a rubber mallet..

Hell, his whole direct family has the gift.. even Levi has noticed it.., and he ain’t that observant..

No sky barf out there yet..

We may end up in the sliver of the state that don’t get anything out of this system.
It's bouncing back and forth depending on the guesser. I'm sitting on 31° right now but looks like cold weather ahead. Tomorrow looks to be the biggest chance of precipitation. Calling for low of 10° Thursday morning. John Deere wants to get the tractor Wednesday but I'm going to tell them to pound sand this week. They only need it two days but can't guarantee they can return it by Friday. That means maybe Monday if they feel like it which is unlikely.

Morning folks. I'd much rather have the snows that's being pushed so far south, instead this wave of -xxf's overnights that's expected to be here for the next 9-12 days.
Warmed up to -9f now with the sun peaking through a bit for the last half hour.

When I fed this morning the mist was freezing to everything in the air. Ground still too warm and is still soft, but soon to change. Did a search for the tractor recall and it is a glow plug/ air grid heater relay. In field service and issued before I bought the tractor. Think I will have some words with John Deere this morning.

Got back from FL last night to wake up this morning to 0 temp. The ONLY thing I won't miss about FL is the traffic. You can't call them drivers because they're far from it, drugged up idiots would be more fitting. BIL works in an ER down there and has lots of stories. You can be driving 70 in 4 lanes of traffic and they'll still pass on the shoulder.

Saw lots of 2511 Echo's trimming Palm trees from last Fall's hurricanes, so I got a few whiffs of 2 stroke while down there. Gonna start something here today to get back into things, probably a snow thrower.

Heritage Tractor group can go to hell. Reminds me of dealing with the lying idiots in management I see every day. Air grid block heater needs replacement relay under recall. All other dealers are doing this as in field service but it takes heritage two days. Best part is the recall was issued before I bought the tractor and they didn't do it even in the three weeks it took them to transfer it from Clinton to Joplin. They are going to have to do it at my house, not a chance in hell they are getting the tractor back for this nonsense.
