You may become a boat builder instead of a barn builder.Morning folks...
It's sposta rain here all day, like maybe 2"
I stand corrected. I should have said u may be needing ur boat building skills.
Very nice
Thanks guys.
The hull is old growth western red cedar, except the light colored strip is Alaska yellow cedar.
The light colored trim is ash, and the dark stuff is black walnut.
The bottom is one solid piece of cedar.
We milled all the lumber.
Oh yeah, I hand caned the seats as well.
That was my second ceder strip canoe, it took me 200 hours to build it....
It's 15' long and about 34" wide, it weighs around 80 lbs I believe.
Sometime when I'm feeling braggadocios I'll post some more pics of stuff I've built.....
I tried to make a living with my woodshop for a few years, but failed on the business end of things.... woodworking is easy, marketing stuff is not....
As everyone else has said, you are a true craftsman and will stand in line for more pictures of your work.
Yuck....It’s sleeting/freezing rain here now with temps around 35* or so, guessers are unsure of amounts; anywhere from a trace up to 2”-3” of snow.
