I grew up with an attic fan. I love them. It was all we had upstairs. If I ever build, I will have one; so I will probably never have one...

Dad's setup (no central air) on the farm was a fan in the south window 2nd floor. 1st floor windows open toward the shaded woods kept that red cedar log home comfy most days. When not basement office even cooler.
I've got no 2nd floor, but used leftover elasti kool white paint on the most sun prone area of the dark roof. My place was cooler last evening by a few degrees and got cooler over night. Maybe from starting off cooler.
Probably gonna drop another c note for 5 gallon more to cover the rest of the sun drenched roof

My son & grandson came down today for the weekend, my youngest daughter is back from Georgia with her boyfriend. We did a bit shooting today. I didn’t get a pic of my grandson shooting his cricket.

On a better note my niece won the Queen contest at the county fair now all she needs to do is get that under powered Ford in that Farmall to find some extra grunt for the pull tomorrow night.

We show 100 plus for the next 12 days, minus Saturday, which is "only" supposed to get to 98. Highest shows 107. I don't think I've ever seen a year with this many 100 plus days. Most I recall is 14 days, but that was spread out over summer, with maybe 3 or 4 stacked together. We've had that already. We had 108 yesterday and still zero chances of rain. It's fixin to get ugly fellas.

I used to do ag tires when I was late teens/early 20's. Honestly, I loved the job, running service truck, being in the country and fixing combine and tractor tires (as long as they were dry that is). But the worst tires I ever ran into, were irrigation tires, still on the sprinkler. I don't know if they still have them, but back then, 24 years ago or so, they still ran recap irrigation tires and those were the frickin worst. Seeing this picture about made me vapor lock. Lol

The traveling silage boys are greasing up the Claas..
At least Jean has a bunker silo that’ll hold about 40 acres.. the rest will go to the big dairy down the road.
She’ll just have to feed silage instead of hay till this hurricane season,.
