Year of the Joplin tornado was hot. I just went back through the data and it shows from July 15 to August 7 2011 it ran from 97 to 105 every day and 2012 data shows almost the same range of temperatures for those dates.

I remember hearing about that tornado. 2012 was a pretty brutal year out here as well. Hill City, Kansas was the hottest town in the US for 4 straight days, with 114, 111, 115 and 115. That's 50 miles NW of where I am. I believe that was the year Wichita (opposite corner of the atate from me) had a week and a half, to 2 weeks where the overnight temps never dropped below 85. Thankfully, our overnight temps are getting down to low 70's. They did just give us a 50% chance of rain for a few hours this evening. It changes every hour it seems.

Mother nature..........not much we can do about it, we're all just along for the ride.

Have a good weekend everyone!! Today and tomorrow are the "coolest" days we got for a bit, so I'm gona make good use of them. Might try to run my new 500i for a little bit. Still haven't ran that since I got it.

The coil crapped out on the tractor my niece was pulling tonight. She had a good hook, got out of the hole great & things were looking really good until everything went dead. I will shoot the vid Wayne tomorrow, if & when he has time in his busy schedule maybe he can post it up.

Fire away. I'm just here hanging out in Fargo.

Got fibered aluminum roof coating to fill in a "birdbath" on roof of a non profit. Already coated area with flex seal 40 hours ago or so. This is the minimize depth. Glad the extra was painted onto my roof before going over there.
Temp is already 3° above predicted high at 5-6 p.m. Cooler in here than it should be if the roof was still dark grey

This is the tractor that won the class, she is about 25 & a local gal also. It’s her dads tractor he usually pulls it in the 6500# open.
The regular class is 6000# Hotrod.

My son & grandson both caught fish on their first casts this morning then the wind switched to the east & things slowed right down. My grandson did haul this one in though, about 12”

Not for me.

For them probably way to hot.

Like when I used to visit my relatives at Frankenmuth, Mich.

Highs in the mid eighties they were complaining about. [emoji58]

One July forth we sat on the Saginaw River and watched fireworks dressed in winter coats and stocking caps. WTF!!

Old man bladder. [emoji90]

Another 3/4” in the last 24 hrs.

Corn and beans looking good around River City.

But River (Missouri) stage is around 7’. Low! Won’t be no barge traffic this summer. Normal is @ 12’ for July.

I was worried we were going to have some flash flooding…
It’s better than nothing but it isn’t going to last long with the temps in the 90’s & windy. @67L36Driver keeps hoarding the rain down there, he must be living right. Most of the storms seem to start out in South Central NE & stay between I-80 to the KS/NE border while moving east and follow that line right across south of the IA/MO line down to KC.
