Year of the Joplin tornado was hot. I just went back through the data and it shows from July 15 to August 7 2011 it ran from 97 to 105 every day and 2012 data shows almost the same range of temperatures for those dates.
I remember hearing about that tornado. 2012 was a pretty brutal year out here as well. Hill City, Kansas was the hottest town in the US for 4 straight days, with 114, 111, 115 and 115. That's 50 miles NW of where I am. I believe that was the year Wichita (opposite corner of the atate from me) had a week and a half, to 2 weeks where the overnight temps never dropped below 85. Thankfully, our overnight temps are getting down to low 70's. They did just give us a 50% chance of rain for a few hours this evening. It changes every hour it seems.
Mother nature..........not much we can do about it, we're all just along for the ride.
Have a good weekend everyone!! Today and tomorrow are the "coolest" days we got for a bit, so I'm gona make good use of them. Might try to run my new 500i for a little bit. Still haven't ran that since I got it.
