The corn can finally utilize the 60 units of nitrogen I just put on last week..

I’ll get a pic 1 week from now same spot.

Looks good.

Any crop in OK is in trouble unless you irrigate. Severe heat and no rain in sight for weeks, if not months.

Morning everybody.
Dryer than a popcorn fart at the stamp.
Installed a water filter system on the well. I’m pretty sure that there was no problem with the water but I wanted to be on the safe side. It sure tastes good anyway.
Grass was tall enough to bale. Did some more work on hooking up the water heater. It’s been a full 3 days. :)

Hopefully it stays together, I had just enough to leave some moisture in the gauge but less than .01” this morning. Moses must have moved in around here these storm cells seem to resemble the Red Sea when they get close.

This morning my rain gauge read almost the same as Hedgerow's in post #55119 -- 1.76" in one evening. We seldom see that in early July unless accompanied by violent winds. That's what happened last year on July 10. Straight-line winds reached 90 mph then and 30,000 homes were without power.

Gooseberry‘s. Are not edible minus so much sugar, it burns going down..

We grew up eating the green ones straight from the plants. Used to take and load up an entire mouth full and see who could eat them the fastest. I still eat a lot of them as I pick.

Gooseberries are too ripe for a good pie. Make them every year for my dad for fathers day.
@Hedgerow ,
Those purple ones don’t require any sugar they are actually sweeter than the raspberries. My SIL was pretty excited to get a quart of ripe ones usually the birds clean them up pretty fast.
