Stihl weed wackers & such:

There is an adjustment screw to take the slack out of the throttle cable. Makes a difference if you want to get to WOT.

But, not too tight you defeat the ‘curb’ idle screw.

The ‘shorty’ pole saw is a little ripper. [emoji6]

Working on installing a water heater in the big camper, needed some fittings from the local hardware store. Also a Stihl dealer. While I was there I inquired about any older model saws he may have taken on trade. He said he has an old Homelite and he showed it to me. An old blue XL12 in pretty decent shape despite the dirt on it. Said there was another one at home, too.
He wanted $60 for the pair and he'd bring the other one on Monday. Told him we were down here every couple of weeks or once a month was all. I told him $40 for the pair. He asked about $50? For the pair. Cash only. I told him I only had $20 cash. He said "sold". I said I'd be back in a few weeks to buy the other one.
It's not a Mcculloch but it will do.

My softail ate its own engine under warranty last Sunday so while it’s being fixed this came home with me today 16 cvo road glide ultra. Like riding a Cadillac. The wife is gonna take my softail over.

Knock the top off it and look for blue/black stains on the end.. sometimes you can maneuver around the land mines...
