Well, it's got a black coil and the carb is for sure fixed jet. It's new, so I figured it would be. Not sure how much better the black coil it is than the green, or if it's better. I was thinking I read they both limit, but at different RPM's.

Maybe it was the black has to have the flywheel rekeyed and the green is timed the same with a 272 coil. I'll have to go reread those threads. (Edit: Just reread that thread and the black one requires the flywheel to be moved, if using a 272 coil)

I don't think that sucker will have any problem oiling the bar. That thing just pukes out oil when it's running. I've never seen a saw put out that much oil. Makes sense, since they're mostly used with long bars, but man.

Morning fellas!

I'm not saying it was 100% necessary, but I fired up the ole wood stove for one more small fire. Got down to 40 last night and the house was a touch chilly this morning. It's only supposed to get to 53 today and is overcast and drizzly.

I prefer wood stove weather over AC weather.

Have a good day everyone!

I will be lighting the stove tonight also, calling for patchy frost tomorrow morning here. Our forecast for today is the same as yours.

I'll probably start one up before bed tonight myself. We aren't getting down to frost temps, but overnight shows 39, with a "real feel" of 34. That's low enough for me to have one going.

We were getting warm enough there 3 weeks ago, I thought we were going to skip spring and go straight to summer. So I'm thankful, deciding whether I want a fire going is even a thought.
