The HA is supposed to be the world's first direct drive saw.
Let me know if you need any info on the HA. Nice looking saw! Most that I've seen were red. May be a late production?
That MD float-type carb is pretty simple. It tunes backwards to most carbs.
I've got an HB, HC, and HM.

Some of the paint chips off as I was cleaning it and shows red underneath. It was stored dry so I avoided a lot of headache there. Starter dogs don’t always engage ( imagine that!), it acts like a FM steaming pile. Thinking that it still has the original chain with little wear anywhere.

That’s made like mine is for my skid but mine is 1/2” plt. How heavy is that one? Looks about right for a tractor.

3/8".. And yes, it's long term home will be on the tractor.
