I can’t like that post Carl, hopefully nobody was injured.

I honked today as I passed by on 36.

Didn’t hear you. Too windy.

BTW: Be careful at the ‘S’ curve on 36 over tenth street.

Livestock hauler tried it at 70 mph and failed last month. Managed to get the truck over the four foot divider and kill 55 cows.

Since we were rather unclear on his genetic make up, I really wasn’t sure how he would perform as far as grade. Turns out, whatever he was, works pretty good.

I was choring for my buddy while he & his family went on vacation, he said grab some steaks out of the freezer. I grabbed 2 packages of T-bones, I kept one package & gave one to one of my brothers.

The next time I saw my brother he inquired about the steaks, said they had a funny taste to them; they weren’t rotten but just funky. He actually only ate 1/2 a steak & gave the rest & the other one to the dog.

I was telling my buddy that John thought they tasted funny,he just started laughing. It turns out my buddy’s wife had moved all the grass fed beef into the freezer I grabbed from. I tried one, definitely a wang to them & not much marbling.

Corn fed beef is where it’s at.

Apparently they sell that grass fed beef like hotcakes in Des Moines thru his sister-in-law.

From 800 lbs on, I use a feedlot ration with free choice hay.
The ration is 90% cracked corn and 10% feedlot pellet that has all the buffers and minerals in it. It's also a 38% protien pellet.
Very spendy, but keeps em on their feed. That pearly white fat is a result of the high corn ration. it melts on your fingertips.

That feeding plan sounds pretty close to what my friend Chase does with his also. The grass fed thing is his wife’s deal.
