There's a process of putting wood in pond that stops splitting.Let’s see if I’m interepreting this right...
A dobro maker will seal up the wood he makes instruments from to maintain that 30% or so moisture content until he’s ready to actually make something out of it without concerns of doing any damage to the wood? It can literally just sit there for years at ~30% moisture and just be in somewhat “suspended animation”?
