Late morn y'al; they're gonna make some mulch outa firewood again, under stepsMorning everybody.
Nice and cool outside.
That's pretty cheap.Any of you gents smoke meat for weddings & such stuffs. The local repair service fella smoked 200#’s of brisket for a wedding reception & was asking me what to charge & I told him minimum of $500. By the time he trimmed them up, prepped coolers & such, cooked, delivered & cleaned up he had over 20 hours in it.
He said he was thinking $200, I told him he was insane & wouldn’t have time to turn wrenches because he would be overwhelmed with catering requests while he lost his behind doing them. That’s why I said minimum of $500 my initial thought was $1000 but dialed it back to $500. I think around $750 would be a decent figure. That's pretty cheap.

Truth..If you are more than covered up with work with no end in sight there is a good chance you are undervalued in your area and need to raise your prices. It is a balance not to over charge and keep work load but you must charge your worth wether you realize your worth or not. Or you’ll work yourself to death for nothing.

The brides father provided the brisket, I guess I better throw that in the equation in case that wasn’t clear but that doesn’t change my thoughts on it.
