My buddy had his appreciation supper for his seed business customers tonight. Prime rib, Mac/cheese, salads & pies. Holy smokes, I am miserable. Tomorrow I will pick up some leftover slabs of prime rib, pie & leftover swag.

We’ll finally got my old challenger out for a nice cruise. She’s been up for far too long. Been almost 4 years since she was out last. There were almost 300 cars on a Mobil car show. We just cruised the downtown all night.

Well, good news. My Granddaughter Tyra is now on her way, with her mom, to live with them in Tennessee. And that's a good thing, too. My whole plan was to just be an in between resting place for her. To get her out of a bad situation and to start deprogramming her and get her to realize that she has choices in her life. That she gets to be in charge of what happens in her life.
So now the house is back to being quiet again.
:)

Good morning!
Got behind this vehicle the other day. Made me smile and want to ask him if he would like to see my chainsaw collection. [emoji16]

Vintage vinyl on Delmar St. Louis county.
Just can't appreciate the short sightedness of the peeps against harvesting natural resources that replace themselves

Picking corn around here. Nobody's braggin!
Yields been all over the place round here..

Yield monitors were bumping 310 bu to the acre where Levi was at around Lamar. “Irrigated”..
The dry land stuff here been anywhere from 110 - 170
Depending on drainage and when it was planted..

I think a few fields just got some serious compaction issues that’ll need to be dealt with.

Do over and an aw chit:

Starter dog bolts on the Italian Alpina 70 are #12-24, not 5mm .8. (I helicoiled them when I stripped the holes using my flywheel puller. The flywheel is a Wico, made in USA. [emoji43]‍[emoji94]

And, I discovered two rollers missing from the clutch drum bearing. [emoji90]

At the Seed chow last night, a friend said they ran 1280 acres that averaged 30% & made 214bu. acre. They hauled it to a feed yard & filled a pit. I believe fella he works for has around 12,000 acres. They were running 2 JD 780’s with 16 row heads and a new JD X9. Sean said they were running about 2-2.5mph with the 780’s, the X9 was running 5-5.5mph. Apparently these new X series are designed to run high moisture corn.

Levi said they started at 18% and worked their way down. Only after fixing the dryer...
