Yep, that camera angle tells me not to be walking around at Truman Lake area or at the minimum take a pair of pistols with snake loads in them.
The man is holding a "snake stick" that is 6'-8' long which places that snake way closer to lense than the person on other end.
Timber rattlers east of national forest just south of county line between Iron and Washington County here in Missouri are a lot more colorful almost pretty with the contrast of black yellow and white stripe between with other secondary shades as I recall.
Very toxic venom to any living cells. Blood, skin, muscle etc. all die on contact with.

Morning everybody.
Morning y’all, of 35 seedlings over 3 years, several years ago, this is the one survivor. Been under fast flowing waters many times and :pesas:hung on20210705_100852.jpg
Bald Cypress, shaded too much of the day, slows the growth but should be here, standing tall, long after I'm gone

Cypress does not like competition,

They grow fast in open

Had a nice time up North but it was hot there too. 90+. Was working on another wood shed and the wife made a pizza on the grill and had an imported Spotted Cow beer for me (from Wisconsin [emoji4])

Callen, my lawn guy and sometimes cohort in crime, gave me these:

Beats the little chits by a long shot. Bout like a ‘lady finger’.

Packed in a baggie with saw chips for cushioning to make them ‘safe’ for transportation.
