Dam hot logging today! Got to 84!
Good morning!
I finally bought a little tractor.
It is a Kubota 4610D. It is 46HP with Glide Shift.
Also got a John Deere 6' bush hog to go with it.
I can also get a nice heavy 7' box blade, but am concerned it may be too big for a 3200lb tractor.
What are your thoughts on the box blade width?
Should I look for a 6' instead?

For light work you might be ok with 7’. 6’ would be sized better for your tractor. I can’t run a 5’ here in the sand but in your heavy dirt you might get away with a 7’. I usually don’t have a power problem it’s traction. Does it have loaded tires?

You’ll want them loaded..I am not sure if the tires are filled or not.
I reckon I could get them filled if I needed to.
The tractor's "supposed" to be 63" wide. You’ll want them loaded..
And I’d want the 7’ blade.
6’ may not cover your tracks.
Would I fill the front tires as well, or only the rears?
Methanol?Only my rears are filled but I’ve needed the fronts for traction several times. Don’t put sodium. Go with methanol. And my tractor is about the same size and 6’ covers my tracks. But doesn’t leave much over hang on each side.

Methanol?
I thought they used some kind of glycol?
I won't use the sodium. That stuff eats everything!
I have a mobile tire guy that can come do it for me.The local guy uses that basically windshield washer fluid. You can use antifreeze. It’s just more expensive. The best is a product called rim guard. It’s beet juice. About as heavy as calcium but won’t rot your wheels. My guy said about 5 gals of methanol to a tire your rears size and the rest water. If you got a way to put it in you can do it your self. Save some money.

Just the rears.Would I fill the front tires as well, or only the rears?
Tore the MS311 apart looking for the vacuum leak.
So far, nada. [emoji90]
