A few months ago I had a weak moment and we brought home a stray. I told the family we’re not keeping her and we will take her to a rescue. The rest is history. She is part Great Pyrenees or Anatolia Shepherd

When I was just a kid my sister came home with a puppy. She begged with my Dad to keep it. Finally he gave in with the understanding it would only be temporary.
Fast forward about 15 years. The dog, now much older, as is my father, was laying out in the yard enjoying a sunbeam. My dad walks past the dog, stops, turns around and says to the dog "Remember, you're just here on a temporary basis."

Keep that dog outside most of the time and you won’t have any trouble..

They gotta know that outdoors is their natural place.
Then when they come in, it’s a special treat.
