Made in Brazil, imported to the US from Canada thru Laser in order to be competitive per the rep @ Amicks. Also said that the were some rumblings a couple months ago about the production being moved from Brazil to china. Can’t like that statement. Fella said they sell a lot of it, @ $280 roll it’s understandable.

top chain in both pics is off the 100’ roll
bottom chain an older 60dl out of the box
There is a slight difference in how it was sharpened but I don’t see any other differences in the tooth geometry

I will have to make up a loop to try but I can’t think that after a sharpening or 2 it will make much difference, especially if it gets sharpened on the Simington.

I'm curious to see how well the new chain holds an edge. You can always fix the sharpening, but the hardness of the cutter and alloy are both quite critical to a decent chain life...

I have been running the new Oregon exl and really like it! Especially how it hand sharpens in the woods. Where I am at it flooded 5 times a year ago so you know what that butt cut is like!

Rain total for past 24 hrs is 1.3”. It’s been past dry here fro three months.

I had despaired of receiving the 026 clutch when I checked the mail box one last time. Letter carrier apparently dropped it off sometime after 6:30 pm. [emoji15].

Now it’s about 8-10’ across and 18-20” deep and barely moving, which is what we were hoping for.

That was the plan. Clean it out, back it up and make it take the scenic rout through the grass.. wide and slow..

In the meantime, get about an acre of surface area for irrigation purposes.
