That's some *s-wordty rain right there.
Weather Service has us in for 1.5” - 2” of rain over the next 2 days, then this set in. Just another instance of them not being able to find their own arse with both hands.
We will take whatever we can get, it’s too damn dry around here. The crops are out, I have over 40 cord of wood c/s/s. The only thing I need to do is start cutting some Hedge posts so let it fly.

Man.. it’s almost 7:00 AM and it’s still blacker than George’s ass out there..

All the fat steers are black too..

I like to be able to see em coming when I take their breakfast out to them.
Darryl will blind side you if you ain’t moving fast enough with the buckets.. he likes to wrestle.
And at 1300 lbs that ain’t entertaining any more.

Morning from the Blacksnake hills!

John at Jack Horners related to me a debacle with a contractor Saturday morning.

Seems this contractor is laying the large green plastic pipe and cutting it with a chainsaw when necessary. Contractor is buying ten loops for a 24” guide bar at a time.

I saw the ticket. Just pennys short of four Benjamins. [emoji15]

There was some confusion as to what gauge was needed and John had to remake a ten chain order Saturday before closing at noon. [emoji2960]

I’m slow on the uptake sometime but I wonder what happens to the dull loops. [emoji848]

Discarded?

I smell an opportunity.

There may not be much left of those chains after those fellas get done with them but it would be worth inquiring about. $40 a loop is a redonkerous price unless it’s carbide.

I ordered a 100’ roll of Carlton 3/8” fc chain, this is what showed up o_O. I will have to compare it to my some of my older boxed Carlton & make a phone call. Where the hek was this chain made ? I guess at least it doesn’t say “China” on it.

Made in Brazil, imported to the US from Canada thru Laser in order to be competitive per the rep @ Amicks. Also said that the were some rumblings a couple months ago about the production being moved from Brazil to china. Can’t like that statement. Fella said they sell a lot of it, @ $280 roll it’s understandable.
