I even got a savage in good ole .308..

1000 yards??

Yep... we can do that...

Not a fan of the 7mm magnum though.
Or any other cartridges built on that platform.

Gimme something without a belt and somewhere around 3000 FPS, and we can make a long range shooter out of it.
6.5 creedmore fits that bill..

Sold the MS200t runner this morning. [emoji108]

Working on the MS460. Got the wrap handle bent back almost where it needs to be.

Investigated the MS362 (?). It pumps 150 for a supposed to be roasted top end. WTF !!

No sign of trouble looking in from the spark plug hole. [emoji106]

Tip: Pull out the compression release makes a huge difference. [emoji2960]

I voted in the election today.

For Buchanan County sheriff I voted for Sarah Hardin. I wrote my daughter’s name in the blank space. [emoji48]. Why not!!

Is a 6.5 like a .243 on steroids?
.264" heavy .257 have a 6.5 jap carbine reamed with a 257 Robert's improved ream. Real cracker jack of a shooters. Near perfect case capacity to bore for IMR powders. Full case leads to consistent light up /pressures , accuracy.

I’d take a 6BR for competition shooting

But hey.. the 6.5 is good too..

All that conceded.. I shoot a .270 Winchester..
and would stack it up against any challenger..
Old school calibers are fun.
6.5 is a 1000 yard completion round .

6br won't play well at that

Not a fan of 7mag?? Why ?? For many years it was the only counter sniper round used to protect the President...

I have 2 ,, one shot a 3 shot group of .226 the 1st load i tried..

The other is a 1980 Remington 700 bdl , the 1st load tried shot .328 inch 3 shot group...

That is in standard weight sporter bone stock rifles..

Guys that right there is damn tough to beat ..

I know guys that spend thousands of dollars to get a rifle to shoot that well ..

The 6.5 was a cheap toy . I'll see what it does.

Man can't have to many weapons these crazy days

Just curious, how does 7mm08 stand up?
The 7-08 is the best eastern deer rifle imo , I have 3 , shoot damn good, wide range of bullet weights and styles.

Wife shoots one in mountain rifle.

Have a Tikka in one , just love it.
One in a cheap ass Marlin that will shoot .250 inch group..
