Stay away from the stainless fasteners unless it’s made in the USA. The China made crap is notorious for being softer than dog chit. Marked grade five or eight but an outright lie.

anybody have any insight on the aftermarket nylon air filters versus the OEM felt filters for the 346?

Also, need a source for 346 muffler bolts. Lost them both somehow. HL supply is out of stock. CCC does not have any either. I found some on ebay if I have to go that route.

Those nylon filters sure seem to let more fines through. Least in my experience with em!

I'm hosed work-wise until Saturday, but could come up if needed to lend a hand. I'm not supposed to be traveling, for "non-essential", but f-em.

Thanks for the offer but my son Kale is a fireman here and all the off duty and volunteers showed up and made quick clean up! Quite a good bunch! They'll do the reshingling of the house I reckon!

It's ……………………………………………...ALIVE !!!

No brakes on the rear yet. It has something to do with the switch on the twin lines from the master cylinder. Warning light comes on.

I hav'nt located my '67 Chassis Service Manual yet.

Not safe yet to take Jim riding but I did ride the grandson around the block.

All in all, O'Reilly Auto Parts is the best go vrs. online.

Is there a button under a rubber boot on that fitting where the lines split?
I believe that it is supposed to prevent the lines from losing pressure if a brake cylinder or caliper blows. Sometimes they can shift on you when bleeding the lines...
I have no idea if vettes are that way though...

Had a pretty heavy storm come through Seymour where I was working today.
Stepped outside for a minute, and watched the roof come off a building beside me and land on a row of parked cars along with a truck that was driving down the road.
It flattened what had been a nice Camaro a few minutes earlier.

There is just the two brake lines and a wire to a post between them on the bottom/outlet side of the block/warning switch whatever thingy.

My best guess is there is a spring centered piston that moves and grounds the electrical lead if the front or rear lines is less pressure.

I didn’t find it it the service manual. [emoji90]. Just in the wiring diagram.

Bleed rear brakes in the morning. [emoji1696]

My challenger has a Kelsey Hayes proportioning valve. It did something similar. Trying cleaning to no avail. Had to replace years ago. They were still available last I checked.

That’s pretty accurate to what’s inside it. Mine would stick until I replaced it.

Pressure differential switch. Try centering it up. If you lose pressure on 1 end, it closes off that end and only gives pressure to the other side. Fix the leak on the rear, center the switch up. It'll work.

Some call it a proprtioning valve, or a combination valve. Those also have the metering valve in them. But I doubt the Vette would have a metering valve. If memory serves, that's for the rear drum brake cars.

It's been a long time.
That almost hurt my brain.
