Well there were some technical difficulties on the big log. My little hedge signs turned out very nice. Chad and Derrick do fantastic work.

Turned out it was the rakers being too far off on one side. After about a 45 minute touch up job on that 214 driver chain. And she cut nice and true......

She was a big girl though and needed the big mill for sure. The 661 in stock form actually doesn't handle that 62" bar to badly. Aux oiler would have been nice though....

Shoot, I wish I'd gotten online yesterday morning. I would have come get you. I'm sorry!
Thanks for the offer and had knocked out some stuff that need done for a lomg time at home.

On the lookout for a resonable priced milling saw........
I would look for a echo cs8000 or 800 or a yellow jd branded one. They have the oil over ride on them and are tanks.

Farmertec 660 kit.[emoji106]

Morning midlanders!

All that is needed to generate a working 017/180 is a fuel line and the fasteners for the rear grip cover.

And, some luck.

Don't you love a box saw missing all the screws?[emoji21]

Good Morning.
Some videos of Ft Scott early saw action.

That little Skil is a screamer! I had only seen one other Skil chainsaw, and it was a tiny little thing, not notable in any way except it had no power. I've been using skilsaws all my life, but this was a special thing indeed.

Gas and oil caps located ok on them?

Need to be on the side preferably.

Good morning!

I might start a tree job today for an old family friend. He has at least three trees that need out, a walnut, a mulberry, and I think the other is a locust. This would mean I am set for serious firewood for years!
I have been lazy the past couple of weeks, getting rather soft. Amazing how quickly that comes on. Gotta push through the desire to sit stihl, or old age will catch my asp for sure, and that, my friends, is simply not authorized. Nor is it to be permitted. At least this is how I'm approaching it....

Splitting the locust will be fun. Not much there to mill, and I'm not sure I'd know what to do with it afterward, except maybe to make it into cants, try to somehow disguise it as pine, then use it to confound race saw builders! :zpong:
