Morning guys
Rain here 68deg

Good day for shop work.
Sharpened the 288 chain after playing some last evening.
Let little brother try it and he hit the dirt [emoji33]
Wasn't used to the 32in bar.
That saw hauls it [emoji106][emoji106]

"Husqvarna" is, I believe, a Swedish word which loosely tarnslated means "flash," as in a flash of lightning, which is there one moment and gone the next. On the other hand, "Stihl" shares the meaning of its English homophone "still," which accounts for the 30+ year old orange and white saws that are stihl grinding out chips long after their Swedish age-mates have bit the proverbial dust...

:aaaaa:

Well if you use that stihl translation it fits well. Bc stihl is still slower, and still stuck in the past on saw improvements, but if you count them as still running then that's true. Lol!!

Still could also mean not moving, which I could see in a sense relative to that 60 cc saw you had set up with a long bar. Serious power that one.

Kyle, my friend Natalya has this old sickle bar, and she is too little to pull the new bigger motor to life. Do you have any opinions? I think this will bring a couple of pics over...

Consider the International Harvester pickup truck (my favorite). With its 0˚ TDC timing setup, grease zerks in places other mfgs just put in throwaway parts, and their notorious steady slow pace of movement, the principle is the same. Yee haw basically a street legal tractor, almost eligible for the orange triangle but not quite.

Actually, Stihl is pronounced like Steel. You can spin "steel" however you want to also. Either way, Uber alles!!!!
