Just ordered 5 new tires. Just replaced all 4 boat trailer tires two weeks ago. The RV tires lasted 9 years before they blew out last fall. Then the enclose trailer need 3 more new tires. Dam cheap tires.
You asked whats on the trailer. Firewood processor. Hahn 160 modified. 32 inch bar. Runs 404 94dl 080 guage. Includes 4 way and 8 way wedge. Plus bucking plate to cut then dump larger diameter wood. Wood that will not fit into splitter.
It's huge.
Left at 5 this morning to get it in Minnesota.

I swear something is up with the tire industry..Last year and early this year we were blowing tires all the time on our lift gate race trailer. Then we came to the conclusion that we bought the tires in 2006 and it hit the road in 2008. It didn't matter that they had less than 60k miles on them and had been stored inside the whole time not on the road.
Now the truck tires that are 4 years old are starting to go. We changes the exhaust to try to keep heat away from them.

Even the good names have turned to *s-word.
Just a theory..
"Chinese outsourcing"
SO that is one of the OEM jugs they offered. This saw looks to be low hours, but someone used waste oil in it, so it's sthl gross after I spent an hour toothpicking it. That black cinderlike etching is hard to get off there. This is the pto side of a KS jug
Oops, wrong saw. I took the flywheel of the 044 and confirmed its OEM. I thought it might be an early 12 mm, but those are slant fin, and mine is not. The 064 is what's pictured. It gets a full clean tomorrow. I sure like the 0x4 series of saws. I think I'll end up with an 880 rather than an 084 for parts availability, though. It is. I took off teh flywheel and it says "Stihl." Therefore it is of superior lineage. I'll keep my eye out for another one, Kenneth!![]()
I read ALL trailer tires are chicom now, but I have never had one go bad. I go pretty fast, too.And since I have maypop branded tires I never go over 55. Its like I'm the grand marshal of my very own parade every time I take this bucket out.

This is true. Went into the tire dealer a few months ago and talked to the owner as he was on the computer. He told me he was trying to order a trailer load or 2 of trailer tires before a tariff was imposed on tires from overseas. He then told me there are no American made trailer tires...all are made in China.
It's everywhere. It's amix of fine sawdust, sap, and good ol' used motor oil. God, I wish people wouldn't do that. It is really destructive, and it is bad on the oiling system.Yes on the oem.
And could that black etching be transfer from the piston?
