Its got the 318. Everything coming off the battery looks clean. I'm using the same battery in the little Nissan D21, its only 550cca. For a 3/4ton truck with a small v8, it seems a small battery in physical size and cranking amps. I don't see how that would lead to this recharging issue, but I'll be picking up a new battery anyway so I have one for each truck.lol I'll be checking on the voltage regulator and wires at the starter tomorrow.

Here in Topeka we have an Interstate Battery distributor that sells cosmetically burnished batteries for no more than $55 the one in my truck has lasted 5 years already

That would be worth the trip for me. We are in the wet cycle. Morning all.

Sounds great! My parents burn hedge. I just have to figure out why my 86 w250 isn't recharging. Alternator and battery both test good. Other than checking grounds and other direct connections to those 2 components, I really don't know where to start looking.

If that dodge still has the ammeter hooked up in the dash check it for conitinuity. They were bad to burn out. If that's the problem just run a heavy charge wire straight to the battery positive from the alternator charge post.

Yep, cuz even when they're dead they sink. Good to see splatter so you know you got em.
I accidently found out that they make great channel cat bait.
I sunk a huge wooden fish trap with corn as bait in it in one of our ponds when I was a kid. Of course being a kid, I didn't get around to checking it for about a week. When it broke surface, the worst smell that I ever smelled broke with it. Turned out that a large turtle was attracted to the corn bait and drowned when he couldn't get out. The up side was that the rotting turtle attracted around 10 channel cat between 12" and 26" which got caught in the trap. It was a nasty mess to deal with though. [emoji50]

I'd be doing back flips to find a deal like that. Nice score.

Sounds like a rough week for some of us. Sorry for your loss Mike.

I'm just catching up here as my mom went into the er this weekend after a stroke. It was what they call a TIA stroke, or a warning stroke. As I understood it, the cells recover as opposed to cells dying in a full blown stroke. She's back home with Daisy the beagle, and back to life as normal.

Welcome Dustin.

Good rain here in Wichita. I hope this clears up for us to do some cutting Brian.

Prayers everything goes good.
