One thing in the pipeline is an adjustable carb for the HT75. Not that the fixed jet (both H & L) on there now is bad. But, you know.[emoji848]

I wonder if a big bore kit is available? Or maybe a 'woods port'.

Prolly the plastic in the drive shaft would strip iffin' it had too much snot.

The down side is the thing has to stick out the walk in door when on my bench.[emoji19]

There used to be a craze of putting 350 engines into Chevy Vegas. (Everybody remembers those, right?) My dad said why not get that kind of power from the original engine? That would be the real test of skill and engine building.

Steve, you brought a chilling nightmare back to memory. Had to work on a few of these back in the day.

Good morning everybody.

Talked to my tire dealer Saturday. He told me there is getting ready to be a nationwide increase on costs of tires (3-8%). Get them now if you need them. He also said trailer tires, which are all made in China, are getting ready to get hit with a 20% tariff; there are no made in USA options for trailer tires.

Not hardly, but I do have a pretty good knowledge of it

In your opinion, is there a good stock diesel option? I don't have the tools, knowledge, skills, desire, time, or patience to rebuild a diesel motor like you can. And I don't have the $$$$ to pay somebody to do it; nor do I know anybody around here that I would trust to do it if I did have the $$$$.

I have a stock 2012 duramax that has plenty of power for me; but would like better mileage. There is an older model duramax that comes to my dealership with a million miles (literally). I think the motor was replaced or rebuilt (maybe just injectors but not sure) at 200k and is all stock. I know other brands have similar results.

What are the key maintenance issues I need to be aware of?

Yep. With all of the emission plumbing to make it legal.

I've only seen one and it was on display at a new car show. (Remember those?) Never had a chance to work on a Cosworth Vega but have worked on a lot of regular Vegas. Rear brakes were a nightmare.

Good info. Hopefully I'll be putting a full set on my 89 this week. It will get load range C tires.
