I just got a ford and drive it...

Honestly have no idea how many pounds the valve springs hold back.

Lol...

Nice Hedgerow! I used to always want more power but the older I get it don't seem as fascinating in a vehicle anymore. After fixing the rear end, transmission-twice, and 3 clutches I've decided it's got enough power to do everything it needs to do just fine. I hate working on vehicles anyway, much rather be farming, fixing tractors or saws and pulling tractors! I'm to the point of taking the 4" lift off and 315/75 tires off and putting it back to stock!

Guy at work just put 6" lift on a brand new Tahoe. Plus big tires. But it will not fit into his garage. Much tall than picture looks.

Maybe a 6.7 Cummins in my '02 F-350 would be alright... I can't see spending twice my current investment just to acquire another self-help project... I just love the immediate torque and smoothness of the Cummins compared to a 7.3 or 6.0. The 6.4 comes closer, but you couldn't hardly pay me to take one of those ticking time bombs on... I have yet to drive a 6.7 Ford, but I know that they're $$$ to fix ANYTHING motor-related...

The 6.4 isn't a bad engine if you fix and the weak links in them. They actually make some respectable power.

That's the reason why my superchip now resides in the glove box. 1 clutch was enough.

Good Lord, we finally got a darn good rain... I was planning on doing some cutting today (with my day off) but may use it instead to catch up on chain sharpening and such.

On the Ford subject, to get/make the 6.0 in Dad's truck right, it took Studs, EGR delete, tuner. new oil cooler (x2...), redone FICM and glow plugs/controller. For performance/longevity, a 4" straight exhaust was added along with a FS2500 Oil and Sinister coolant bypass filters.

All of this "fixing" was around $4k... If I could do A 6.4, properly for the same or less, then I'd be interested in that!

They're more than respectable when tuned properly!

6.4s are amazing when tuned right, I'm just leery of buying one on the edge of grand failure do to previous neglect/abuse, especially if some would-be John Force or Don Garlits owned it previously... Now, ANY engine could fall into that same category and I get that, but some seem to give a bit more warning before the take a huge dump on you...
