If you end up scrapping an 011, I'm looking for a good top end for one. Its way down on the list of saws to be worked on though. On the flipside, I have 2 of them so I may wind up scrapping one.lol If I do, I'll check with you and see if you found your part.
hell if you wanna finish one I'll send you the saw I got it for free it was in the junk saw pile at work because my boss thinks they're ready when they stop running. Ignition had literally melted lol

I'll see if I still have one of those Steve.
Farm boss right?
Yep. 290 Farmboss.
Crank looked good enough. Crank bearing smooth with no play. Cages in good shape. Lower rod bearing seemed good but I'm questioning it now. The kit came with piston, rings, pin and bearing. At least I think it was the pin bearing originally. But it was too big for the piston. Original pin bearing fit properly in piston and upper rod. I figured the strange bearing was for the clutch instead. But it's too small to fit the crank.
Anyway, the engine went together very well. Lubed everything up. Got the saw together yesterday and fired up. Runs quiet too. Will run for a minute then stop. Almost like it seized. Found the ground screw under the flywheel too tall and rubbing the flywheel. Fixed that and restarted the engine. Ran for a minute then stopped again. Tight turning over and when it's in a certain position I hear a clicking noise when rocking the flywheel. Flywheel is not loose. Checked that. The clicking sounds from within the engine. I'll take it back down later to check things.
But I'm pretty sure it's going to need a crank.

What does a velocity stack do for performance?
pretty sure all it does is the cone creates a smoother entrance to the carb just like when you port a cylinder if that makes sense... And the bigger filter area allows more total air flow with less resistance

@BrettL I'm taking the cylinder off right now and the piston and I'll take the rod off to of it's possible. Maybe like my mini Mac where it unbolts of the crank
