47º here today. The coffee is on for sure.

Sharpened all chains Thursday to start on several pecans and a hackberry a friend had taken down. Worked 5-6 hours on Friday and never cut one piece of firewood. The tree service dropped the trees and limbs on top of each other, across each other, etc. I spent the whole day limbing and dragging tops to a pile. I started strapping and pulling with my truck...not sure I saved any time but saved some energy.

On top of that, I was making a cut and smelled something a little funky. Turned out to be an elm in the mess. Then found poison ivy growing up one of the pecans. Then I got scratched and stuck by thorns from a small honey locust I wasn't expecting.

Wait until I show you guys pics of the stumps.....unbelievable.

WAEG (wild ass educated guess) you remove bolt, insert a pin and using the cylinder rod as the fulcrum, turn out the end cap/rod bearing with a pinch bar.

Most all my experience is with tool grade tie rod cylinders. Not much with implement type.

Note: If it has iron piston rings it will always leak by some. Rubber cup seals don't leak by.

Can you see a snap ring in the groove between the cap and tube? if there is one, but it won't come out, then you may have to use a block and hammer and drive the end cap into the cylinder and then remove the ring. Some cylinders have a snap ring that you have to slide back by reaching through the oil fitting hole.
