Uncle Knuckles is heading out to chaperon a Birthday party. A bunch of 14 year old's.....boy/girl party.
Pray for me to have patience!
I will NOT pray for patience for me or anyone else.

When I was first married I thought I would go crazy listening to my wife prattle. I prayed for patience... I got a daughter.

Fatherhood ain't easy, so after a while I asked God for more patience... Second daughter born.

Second daughter made the first one seem like a cake walk. Cried non stop for months. I went back to God and asked for more patience... First son was born.

Now with three children and a still prattling on wife I went back to God and again asked for patience, which I desperately needed... Second son born.

After 4 children I think back on those times. I know that we cannot know the mind of the Almighty, but I think he chuckled a little every time I prayed, knowing that He was answering my prayer. He just wasn't answering it the way I wanted.

Enjoy the party Uncle Knuckles...

My brother gets some of the cover boards from work and there's usually enough left for small, thin projects. Nothing besides glue. Kind of cheating though. My dad has a shaper so we just set it up to make cabinet doors, then take a router and recess the back for glass. Gotta get more mat board. Can't beat those frames for the price. Once they get matting and some poly, they'll look pretty sharp.

Nothing besides glue - that's a good, tight fit. They look sharp now, you could easily sell those if you were so inclined.

Stihl spur drums are $14.99 at Jack Horner's machinery.

Where's that at? Gonna need all new sprocket, drum, bearing, washer, and eclip. He wants me to get him a new bar while I'm at it. His current bar has a little life left in it, but not much.

Horner's is near the shops at north village. Not far from interchange of I29 and northbound 69. Be a 60 mile jump for you.

I've been in there too often. They call me by my first name.[emoji849]

Jeff's Small engines 7 miles south of town on 59 would have a better price on bars. El cheapo Forester.

I can dress a bar on my table saw.

Have you tried a belt sander? I used a grinding wheel on my table saw for a while but have found my tabletop belt sander does an excellent job too.

What is it?

87 Ford Bronco II, originally a 2.9 v-6. Getting ready to be a twin turbo charged, intercooled 4.0 v-6.
Waiting on Keith Black pistons.
I always wanted some kind of hot rod. My brother was amazed that I was a mechanic and didn't have one. I was 21, Goldie was 18 when we got married and I became a father when I was 23. I tried a few times to build hot rods only to wind up selling them to get money to raise 3 children. (My best legacy and the reason my beard is now grey).
His coworkers look at his project and say "Why?". He and I look at it and say "Why not?".

reminds me of my Grampa Bill...I watched him skinning coons one day lay big gash in his finger. He made me go grab the can of kerosene and he cleaned it out with that, then took a soaked rag and covered it with that. He swore by his kerosene!!
