Razor hasn't touched my face in 10 years or more probably.....oh BTW Landon made it out if surgery with flying colors!! They took three front teeth out from damage to the roots couple years ago when he fell off a bed. 2 caps and out the door. Pretty groggy still!!

Morning fellas! What's the "no razor burn" secret to these?
61ee4a4ef2911d02a2ccb2d941625bf8.jpg

Hot wash cloth on the face, cold water to rinse the razor. Shave across the grain, not against the grain. Best I can tell you if you're having issues. I have to shave every day for work, but I just use the Gillette Fusion, five blade deals. I don't have that much time to dedicate to shaving. Plus, I'm not actually awake until after I've shaved, so a raw, unguarded blade is probably not very safe for me, lol. Do you have a nice strop for your blades?

Got the seals for my 045 from Sagen Spezi (Germany) yesterday. Hope I get a chance to try them out soon. If they work, that would be awesome. $20 shipped. Then I'll just have to clean up the case rot on the front of the case and she'll be as good as new!

Me and the boys limbed, bucked, loaded, and unloaded a trailer load of hickory (2 trees worth). I have a nice stack to sell and a nice stack for Matt. I told the boys they could explore while I bucked the trees. It is amazing what kids can find. They came running out of the woods yelling "look what we found, look what we found!!!!". No bid deal but they found a bunch of glass bottles. They are kind of neat because I have never seen anything like them before. Nothing comes in glass anymore. They look like 2 liter glass pop bottles. If I was a gambling man I bet they found the remnants of an old moonshine operation. The boys wanted to split some wood by hand so I let them while me and my dad watched (oak, not hickory). We managed to eat a nice lunch and go get my friends Kubota to use this weekend too.

Let the good times roll....

Cremo Shave Cream. Put some in the cup with your shave soap and lather up. It is the slickest stuff I've ever used. Also, When adjusting to a safety razor, use gentle contact and work on the correct angle for best cutting. It took me a while to make it work with minimal problems, but well worth the result. I have to shave daily for my job. A good shave goes a long way toward a professional appearance in my world.

My boys did the exact same thing about a month ago. They found an old medicine bottle of some kind and a one gallon brown glass Purex bottle with the lid still on it. Huge treasure to them.

Old glass containers can be very collectible. But, much like chainsaws, you've got to know what you're looking at.

Evenin' all. I've got my feet up and an ice pack on my shoulder after working the afternoon with my Dad. He has been tearing down an old barn and needed some help with the heavier stuff. The old man worked me hard, but I came away with some good (used) sheets of tin and several 12 foot treated 4 x 6 posts for a barn at my place.

If "collectible" means it will sit on a shelf somewhere in my house collecting dust until the boys have moved out then yes, highly collectible at my house.

Yep, exactly. Goldie collects cream and sugar doodads. Hundreds of them. I suppose they're interesting. To me, kind of a nuisance. Keeps me from cranking up the surround sound. They tend to rattle off of shelves.

Looks like everyone has a blast! I'm looking forward to it. We will talk between now and then on what you will need as far as carving.

Yea I dont have a source for square cants. Now round pine logs, I gotcha covered:) I can build the stands if I know what height they need to be.

Make them nice and short. We need all the help we can get against Matt, Levi, and Alan.

Took the boys to see Kung Fu Panda 3 tonight. The kid in me loves that stuff. The animated flicks have come a long way in the past 15-20 years. I am down for a good cartoon any day of the week. I hope they make a Kung Fu Panda 4-10.

Got to play around in the shop a little tonight. Finished up some Walnut frames for my autographed posters and such.

Also, cut up some Walnut 8/4 pieces my brother brought home from work. Gonna use them to do some turning. They're only about 10-14 inches long. Probably got about two dozen pieces though. Also made a chain for my 36" bar for the 660. Pretty productive night.
