Hauling a round bail yesterday
Btw...... this was my tractor,
The old man has about finished it
Off, the way he hauls bails is to stick
The bails with the double bail spear
And slowly go across the field with the
Front wheels in the using the brakes
To turn. The front end is really shot,
It drives better on the back wheels :BangHead::crazylick:

Yep, never seen a boy yet that will sit still, for anything.
On another note. After the road trip this last weekend, Mama's truck developed a rattle/knock in the front end. I already knew it needed an idler arm, but took it up to have my son and I look at it where he works. (Ford) Passenger side upper ball joint and drivers side lower ball joint. Loose as a goose.
In doing some pre-pricing checks around earlier this week I knew the uppers only come as a control arm assembly. Aftermarket available everywhere. Lower aftermarket will not fit original lower control arms. So I'd have to get new lower control arm assemblies if I went with aftermarket stuff. $250.00+ per lower control arm. $50.00+ per upper control arm assembly. Fortunately I got my son's discount on O.E. parts. 2 individual lower ball joints and 2 upper assemblies for $280.00 out the door.

Awesome, if the water stays with us we will have some good crawfish. So far the season has started off earlier than I have seen in years and they are good size.

Now I have a few ideas for things to do during the day. Horse shoes, washer boards, and one bigass fire to stand around. I was also going to set up an area to have cutting logs (have plenty). Does anyone have ideas for activities?

We have never done horse shoes and washer boards to my knowledge, but that sounds fine with me. Normally, we eat, BS, cut some wood (not too much), and race chainsaws... These crazies like to race using cants. So if you can mill up some 8x8 or 10x10 cants that would be great. Here are a couple pics of the racing cants...

It's like anything else, you get what you pay for. I spent better than 25 years in the automotive world (I'm also an ASE certified technician). One thing you have to remember about factory parts, whether Ford, Chevy or whatever, is that, under most circumstances, somebody else made the parts. They made them to a factory specification. I had a Dodge Neon, once. The door panel trim pieces were not made by Dodge, but by a little factory right here in Nixa, Mo to Dodge specs.
There's, by my last count, 4 or 5 automotive battery manufacturers in th U.S. General Battery, Johnson Controls, AC Delco and another I can't remember. With the exception of AC Delco (who used to make Western Auto batteries) all factory batteries are made by somebody else. It helps to know what company is making your replacement parts.

Sounds like fun, But if I know these brothers saws is where the action will be! If you don't have a source for getting those cants you just holler cause we can bring a few a long for the drive. I can mill some nice cottonwood cants anytime for some racing! I'm down for any and all extra activities that may be provided but am much more interested in a nice spot to set up and carve a little sumpthin while I'm there which keeps me fairly busy throughout the GTG. Every one seems to enjoy watching a piece go from start to art, and I have a blast doing so its a win-win!

Here are a couple of vids from one we do here every year for the past few years!
