I didn't know it was this weekend.

something happened to me while cutting I didn't know could happen. I was wearing jeans with a nickel/quarter size hole just above the knee. I was cutting pretty steady with a 361 (20 inch bar) and had one foot resting on a log. Just finished a cut and wasn't paying attention. I laid the chain on the hole in my jeans (chain not turning) and it burned the pizz out of me like a hot iron type burn. I knew chains got hot, but didn't know they would get that hot.

My first chainsaw burn was when I was 14 and melted my coveralls with a homelite super EZ muffler....

Mornin' fella's. Was 40 degrees in Russellville when I got up at 7:00 this morning. That's almost fire weather. Have a whole Jimmy Dean sausage tube on the smoker trying out something new that Mona wanted to try. Takes an hour on smoke, and then another 45 minutes on cook. I'm gonna be real hungry by then. Sounds good though. We'll see.

Ran into Levi at the big farm show yesterday. Almost as tall as his dad.

Took the granddaughters and grandma to cut wood this morning. They sat in the truck listening to the radio and gabbing. Oh well. At least I got done today what I needed to. It was still fun.
