Thanks for the prayers everybody. They've put her in a room in pediatrics. I think the worst is over now. Just got to get her through the night.
Never been so scared in my life. Driving to the hospital, not knowing if when I got there whether she was still with us or not. Thank the Lord she's still here.

She tried to overdose on pills.
14 years old. Don't know why, yet. I suppose that will come with time. We only live a couple of blocks apart. She comes over, a lot, after school and weekends to spend time with us. Good grades, inquisitive about everything. 1st year ROTC in high school. Just a typical Anerican kid.
Maybe part of the problem is kids can't just be kids anymore. When I was 14 I just wanted to tare down an engine. Now it's like they have to solve the problems of the Middle East. Just let them be kids.
