Few pictures of the Ritchey mansion in Newtonia. Struck by a couple cannonballs during the wall one of which was lodged in the corner where you can see some bricks missing. I still remember my grandparents telling me the ball was there when I was growing up. Don't know who took it out. The black room was used as a makeshift hospital and was painted because there is so much blood stained into the floor that it would not come clean. Need to remember that amputation was used for a lot of battlefield wounds.
We toured one of those mansions in Louisiana and they told us that these were built with the widest sides facing the breeze for cooling in the hot season. Also, the rows of trees planted on both sides of the driveway created some breeze too, sort of like a venturi I suppose.

Mansion is loosely used here being that it was bigger than most of the other houses around. Longest sides are north and south walls. There was an add on in later years.

Went fishing at Stockton with the fish whisperer...

The fish were very picky.. but we still caught a bunch.. tossed back a bunch more 1/4” shy of the 10”minimum.,

Sonar tech is fantastic...

Didn't know you got my bare feet in the picture. I'm sure Lisa is wondering what kind of nut you were hanging around with when you sent her that.

Good morning fellas from behind the mixer!
Had a28 line control board the "snake was over 100 feet and had the return lines to the amps. Last time I was involved was doing sound for "Albert King" and his back up mixed the stage speakers so singers could here themselves. Love blues so it was a joy to sit on the stage behind the one stack of jbl 4560's

Supposed to hit 85* today, it’s 55* now. so the ac will be on this afternoon. tomorrow they are guessing 65* for a high temp then back up to around 80* the rest of the week.

It’s no wonder that my sinuses are giving me fits.
My knees and a hip woke me up after about 4 hours o sleep. Fortunately this stuff was prescribed for something else and I was told, while in hospital, it's for arthritic pain. It works and the next tube is ordered from VA pharmacy will be here before this is gone.20240930_082729.jpg

So you don't have problems from all the sileage and harvesting dust? Very lucky man indeed.

61 to 85f today for us.

I don’t usually have much issue with harvesting dust overall. It’s usually the temperature swings that get my sinuses all messed up.

Occasionally a big snoot full of soybean dust gets things either flowing or plugged up & after that I am good to go. Usually it’s from helping repair something on the combine that wasn’t blown off first.

I like to use a hand held blower or the air compressor to clean stuff up a bit before working on it, I don’t end up breathing as much in or wearing it. 5-10 minutes of cleaning is well worth it to me. The service tech that comes out for repairs is always telling my brother to clean stuff off or he isn’t going to work on it.
