Can young ferals have spots? Saw the small one ran over in the road today about two miles from where I saw the big one yesterday. Another little one ran into the brush by the dead one when I got close. Haven't been around them to know.
Seems like ur BFR would be a good choice. No official season.
We just shoot on sight.
As it should be.No official season.
We just shoot on sight.
On private land, it is year around here, day or night, firearms allowed at all times; basically, shoot on sight, lol. On public land, there are some rules, but the season is basically year round. Public land rule: Pursuit of hogs at night is prohibited from Oct. 1 - Jan. 15 and during any spring turkey season; use of firearms are prohibited at night; shooting hours are One-half hour before official sunrise to one-half hour after official sunset. And some WMAs have no hog hunting at all,,,yet. Is there a ferral hog season in Mo
Now I am wondering if someone dumped them. Both next to treed areas just a couple miles from each other. Closest houses to them I have never seen pigs around. Next time I deliver to the people to the north of the piglets I will ask.The big one is a pot bellied mix of some sort looks like.
I’ve seen feral hogs with spots..
But I don’t think it stays around for too many generations..
Yes, they could definitely be escapees. Now I am wondering if someone dumped them. Both next to treed areas just a couple miles from each other. Closest houses to them I have never seen pigs around. Next time I deliver to the people to the north of the piglets I will ask.
The kids just finished stitching up George.....he sliced his chest open on something...

Not sure what he did to himself....probably just some dog nonsense, but it could've been a hog..... though, he usually doesn't mess with the livestock unless we "deploy" him.Nice work, one of the hogs get after him ?
That's kind of what got me on it. Don't usually see pigs around much with teeth like those.
BFRThis guy was about 450 lbs.....kinda intimidating....he opened a 8" gash on one of our sows shoulders with just a jerk of his head.
