Got this Poulan 4218 from my friend Ted to get running. Usual fuel system train wreck.

Got it all healed up and running good.

Now the damn thing wants to toss ‘E’ clips.

Try a honest to god snap ring.

Iffin that don’t work it will get a flat washer spot welded to the crank end.

Total from the 3 rounds from Saturday morning till yesterday afternoon was 3.6”..
can’t tell by the ponds. But fall pasture is a shoe in now.

Too bad I developed loads that "fit" the firearm. Bolt guns had the bullet just touching the lands of the rifling. Revolvers had bullets seated to not have any jump in the cylinder for examples. Each firearm liked the load of a certain powder. Full case load of H110 in the 41 Mag was very consistant as far as shot placement out to 100 yds, limit at the range I developed loads on the bench

Found a much better fitting ‘E’ clip at Ace for the 4218. Stayed put last test.

On to the Homie C9 from Ted. He’s not run it since I spiffed it up eight or ten years ago.

But, it has fuel in it and the Tygon line is coat hanger stiff.



I’m tempted to try to start the old hog.

I did the same thing, just shot less and less till it wasn’t worth messing with any more.. Spent all my spare time cutting firewood..
