Looks like Carl is getting some rain. In St Joe.
Almost a half inch while I slept. 😑

Then I drove south on eye 29 and had to exit at Dearborn because of the wreck.

Wrong way driver killed three people at the Bee Creek crossing about 12:30 am.

All southbound traffic diverted to HWY 371 to Camden Point.

Three hours later police were still picking up the pieces when I went by on my way home.

12 in all..
2 turrets in front and 2 more in the back..

Not to mention the 20 “5” guns” poking out everywhere..

Built in 1942 with a purpose in mind, then retired in 1947.. was in both theaters in the meantime.

Cost of crew and periodac maintenance vs. Use factor. Viet nam combat vets were amazed at accuracy of projectiles. Called em "trash cans" that wood land within a few meters on nearby enemy positions from miles away

It was a fast war hammer..

After the war, it was retired.. they had battle ships like the USS Missouri and USS New Jersey to lean on..
Guess you only need a few battleships when the bad guys don’t have a navy.. and we wrecked japan’s..

The sign on the rack of 16 inch projectiles in the ship said 2500 pounds at 2400 feet per second.. they had 3 different types, but I couldn’t tell which was which..
